Oh sweet Yoga, such a blissfull practice that not only helps you to discover yourself but it helps change your world for the better. Its the tool kit that can never be taken away from you and will be there through every emotion, change, stress and wave in life, it really is your greatest ally.
The real beauty with Yoga is that it is available for all, no age limit, always adaptable and kind to you when you need it the most. My Yoga journey has changed so much over the years as I've adapted it for my specific needs. I've used Yoga to connect to myself, to lose weight, to become stronger, to help with my healing journey of PTSD and overall physical and mental health, as I said the greatest ally of all time.
I have been teaching Yoga for many years now and have felt so much joy in helping others find their path and to gain new connections with themselves, I really do feel incredibly blessed to have withnessed and guided them on their journeys.
Yoga can help with a vast amount of conditions and illnesses, not necessarily curing them but teaching you to endure the conditions. When we learn to connect to ourselves the body will give ques, ques of stress, trauma, dis-ease and imbalances, they will come to light. This focus will help you to understand, work on and accept so that the challanges ahead of you can be handled in a way that can be nurtured. This is our healing journey through Yoga and it is always there to support and guild you along your path. Remeber Yoga comes to you when you need it most!
Yoga also offers a large amount of physical benefits, physical strength, healthy weight management, it awakens the nervous system and aids your energy flow freely. This practice really is a all rounder for overall health. As long as you listen to what your body needs and adapt your Yoga according then the overall benefits will be outstanding.
Connecting to your breath is a key factor in Yoga. Pranayama the 4th limb of Yoga
is a practice that can be used literally anywhere you go, if youre anxious on the train - connect to the breath, if youre feeling overwelmed - connect to the breath and if youre wanting to deepen your Asana practice - connect to the breath. Breathing will never feel the same once you've fully embraced breathwork.
The love I have for Yoga is forever growing and changing and there is always more to learn.
You will never hit a point of completion with Yoga, its a ongoing life journey of commitment.
If you are somebody who has never tried Yoga but would like to, then i can only urge you to take the leap forward, you won't regreat it!
Warmest wishes
